Adding a Current Customer to the Prospect Customer Screen
- From the DealerVu start screen click on the Prospect Management link in the Department menu.
- Click on the Prospect Customer Management link in the Options menu. This will open the Prospect Customer Management window.
- To create a new customer, click on the new button in the top left corner of the screen. The Prospect Customer Detail window will appear
- If this prospective buyer is already a customer of yours, to add the customer’s name, click on the set of heads (Add Prospect Customer button) which will open the Select Customer window.
- Enter their last name and click on refresh to select them as a Prospective customer.
- Select the name and click OK at the bottom of the screen to add the customer to the Prospect Customer Screen
Adding a New Customer to the Prospect Customer Screen
- From the DealerVu start screen click on the Prospect Management link in the Department menu.
- Click on the Prospect Customer Management link in the Options menu. This will open the Prospect Customer Management window.
- To create a new customer, click on the new button in the top left corner of the screen. The Prospect Customer Detail window will appear
- To add the customer, click on the set of heads (Add Prospect Customer button) which will open the Select Customer window.
- At the bottom of the window, click on New
- Enter the available customer information
- Click on save, then close the current window, and select the name on the Select customer screen, and click OK at the bottom of the window to add the customer to the Prospect Customer Screen.
Applying a Lead Source to a Customer
- From in the Prospect Management section, click on the Prospect Customer Management link, this will open the Prospect Management Filter window.
- From here you can look up any prospect customer by using any of the filters on that screen.
- Once you have a customer open, you can select various items from the drop-down lists
The Front Sales and Back Sales are employee name drop downs - this will allow staff to research their assigned customers and follow-up.
There are additional tabs on the Prospect Customer Screen:
- Preferred unit tab: you can enter what they are interested in buying
- Owned unit tab: you can enter the information about the unit they own
- Contact history tab: you can keep the contact history for this customer
- Contact reminders: contact reminders can be added to the customer by clicking on the Add item button and entering the Type of contact and the schedule date for the contact. Use the filter to select customers by the next contact date.
