Prospect Management Lab 2
Objective(s)
At the end of this lab, you will be able to enter daily sales activity and prospect customers.
Before you begin
You will need to be logged onto DealerVu and be on the home page of DealerVu.
Duration: This lab should take 20 minutes.
Exercise 1
In this exercise, you will learn how to enter daily sales activity.
- From the DealerVu home page, click on Prospect Management;
- Click on Daily Sales Activity in the right panel;
- Click on the Add New Sales Activity icon;
- On the new line created in the result pane, click the down arrow in the Employee Code column and select the appropriate employee code;
- Enter the appropriate number for each column: UPS, Leads, Be-Backs, Test Drives, Write ups, Sales, Delivery and Turn over;
- Repeat items 3 to 5;
- Click on the Save icon;
- Close the window.
Exercise 2
In this exercise, you will add a customer to the prospect management contact list. This will include select preferred unit and owned unit.
- From the DealerVu home page, click on Prospect Management;
- Select Prospect Customer Management on the right panel;
- On the Prospect Management screen, click on the New Prospect Customer icon;
- On the Prospect customer details screen, click on the Add Prospect Customer icon;
- Click the New button at the bottom of the screen;
- Enter the first name of Charles;
- Enter the last name of Dumbly;
- Enter an address, including City, State/Province and Zip code/Postal code;
- Enter an e-mail address of CD@hotmail.com;
- Save and close the window;
- Double-click on Charles Dumbly in the Select Customer window result pane. The customer will be added to the Prospect customer details screen;
- From the lead source drop down, choose Radio Ad;
- In the buying plan drop down, choose 9 months;
- In the buying Date calendar drop down, select 8 months from today;
- In the Front Sales drop down select the Front salesperson;
- Click the Preferred Unit tab;
- Click the Add Item icon;
- On the line created in the Preferred Unit list pane, enter the Unit type, Make, Model, Sub-model and year of the unit the customer is interested in;
- Select the New check box;
- Select the Test Drive check box;
- In the price field enter $30,000.00;
- Click the Owned Unit tab;
- Click the Add Item icon;
- On the new line in the owned unit list pane, use the drop down and select the make and model of the unit owned by the Charles Dumbly;
- Enter the year of 2003 in the year column;
- Click the Save icon and close the window.
