PO & Invoice Cost/Exchange Variance Control
Two new settings have been added to System Settings> Miscellaneous> Miscellaneous Settings to allow for the setting of allowable variances on user entered item costs and exchange rate:
Exchange Rate Variance:
Here you would enter a value in terms of a percentage that users would be able to change the exchange rate on an invoice without receiving any warning. A value of “10” means that any manually entered exchange rate that is more than 10% higher or lower than the default for the vendor will be flagged by means of a warning message. Setting this value to zero will stop the warning message from appearing.
Item Cost Variance:
Here you would enter a value in terms of a percentage that users would be able to change the cost on a Purchase Order or Part Vendor Invoice line item without receiving any warning. A value of “10” means that any manually entered line item cost that is more than 10% higher or lower than the current part record cost for the part will be flagged by means of a warning message. Setting this value to zero will stop the warning message from appearing.
How To:
When working with Part Purchase Orders or Part Vendor Invoices, when the user saves the changes made, two types of validation will be performed:
