How to upload the Price File from Harley-Davidson Australia
Uploading a Harley-Davidson Australia Price File
Download the ZA.zip file from HD Net
Unzip the file and save the file onto your desktop (remember where you save the file as you will need to find it again).
We recommend that you do not open this text file – just save it.
The file should have the extension of .txt ie ZA.text
From any desktop log into DealerVu - System Maintenance >Tools > Update Part Inventory > Other….
If you cannot access this area, then you do not have the correct employee permissions and you will need to speak to your Manager.
The Price File Import window will pop up.
Select Definition - HD-Australia - fixed length format
Select the relevant Vendor – Harley Davidson Australia
Step 4 - Click on Import
From the Open Price File window, find the txt file you saved in Step 1 – Highlight the file and then
click on Open
Review the Preview screen and if happy with setup (as per the definition) – click on Proceed
The system will now load the new price list. You can minimise the Price Import Window and let the upload run in the background.
Once a successful upload has occurred, your screen will look similar to this with an Application Information window indicating Import Succeed.
Just click on OK and close down all the relevant Price File windows.
If you receive this Application Error window instead:
This means that the Price File has been finalised but some of the line items on the Price File have been unable to be uploaded.
Close the Application Error window by clicking on OK.
Save the file on your desktop, and then view the file with the program Notepad.
It is then up to you to either ignore the list of items or to manually add them into the system.
From Notepad the items will list like this:
Again work through the list to either manually add the items yourself or ignore.
