Example:
Let's assume we have a stocking PO has been created.
Now let's assume a customer comes in and would like to order part 45-0911.
- Create a part sale with the part you would like to steal from a stocking order.
- Uncheck the PO box
- Change the status to open
- Save
If you right-click on the part line item you will see the action item “Steal part From Stocking Order” is now available for use.
Once you click on “Steal Part From Stocking Order” you will now see a message informing you that the operation has been successfully completed.
If you click on the Special Orders tab you will see that the ordered part has been taken from PO 49405.
Before you close the invoice, please change the status of the invoice to “wait for parts” and save.
Notes:
- In the case where the part can be found on multiple PO’s, DealerVu will automatically take the oldest submitted PO where the part was ordered. Therefore, ensure the customer order is fulfilled first.
- A stock ordered part can be converted to special order only if the ordered Qty and Package values are the same as in sales invoice.
