Job Aid - Sales Manager Units
Inventory Accuracy
When to Use: As needed
Purpose
- Review a list of units with pricing and unit aging (in-stock) and on-order units;
- Optimize inventory sell-through;
- Provide salespeople with inventory listings of available (in-stock) and on-order units. Note: This report can be run with cost or without cost.
Steps
- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Inventory Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Inventory report;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the refresh icon.
Sales and Profitability
When to Use: Weekly or Monthly
Purpose
- Review the profitability of each deal in detail;
- This report includes all P&A, Labor and F&I products that were added onto the deal.
Steps
- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Sales Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Sales Analysis report;
- Choose Start and End dates, then click the refresh button. The Enter Parameter Values window will appear;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the OK button to generate the report.
Sales and Profitability
When to Use: Weekly or Monthly
Purpose
- Review information on revenue totals and gross profit for each new and used vehicle deal posted within the selected time span;
- Access the number of units sold, sales totals, sales gross profit, and F&I gross profit;
- Determine the average sale by make and model;
- Determine relative percentages within the grand total.

- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Sales Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Sales Income Summary report;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the refresh button to generate the report

Purpose
1. Review the sales revenue and profitability of each individual deal.

- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Sales Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Sales Movement report;
- Choose Start and End dates, then click the Refresh button. The Enter Parameter Values window will appear;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the OK button to generate the report.

When to Use: Weekly or Monthly
Purpose
- Review a high-level overview of vehicle sales for each make, model and sub-model;
- Review and monitor the overall sales and profitability of deals;
- Identify the average sales price, average gross profit, and gross profit percentage for each sub-model.

- Double-click on the Unit Sales Movement Summary report;
- Choose Start and End dates, then click the refresh button. The Enter Parameter Values window will appear;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the OK button to generate the report

When to Use: Month-end
Purpose
- Review details of the commissions entered on the Commissions tab of each deal;
- Calculate incentive compensation.

- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Productivity Reports;
- Double-click on the Employee Deal Commission report;
- Choose Start and End dates, make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click the Refresh button to generate the report.

Purpose
- Review the overall effectiveness of the sales team’s selling efforts within a period;
- Follow-up with recent motorcycle buyers to ensure high Customer satisfaction and to offer ESP protection to those who did not purchase any.

- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Sales Reports;
- Double-click on the After Unit Sales Follow-Up report;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the Refresh button to generate the report

Purpose
1. Review effectiveness and utilization of the Customer Path process.

- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Productivity Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Deal Parts & Service Tracking report;
- Choose Start and End dates, make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click the OK button to generate the report

Unit Sales History for Make Model
When to Use: Month-end/As needed
Purpose
- This report identifies the number of units sold per month within the selected period for each make / model;
- Support forecasting, budgeting and scheduling processes.
Steps
- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Sales Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Sales History for Make Model report;
- Choose Start and End dates, then click the Refresh button. The Enter Parameter Values window will appear;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the OK button to generate the report.
Every Sale Counts
When to Use: Month-end
Purpose
1. Review a list of unit sales and identify customers who have not been contacted for follow up.
Steps
- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Unit Reports > Unit Sales Reports;
- Double-click on the Unit Sales in Last 60 Days report. The Enter Parameter Values window will appear;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the OK button to generate the report
Every Sale Counts
When to Use: Month-end
Purpose
- Identify customers with frequent transactions or high-value in vehicle sales, parts and service;
- Target these customers through marketing campaigns, CRM and personal outreach.
Steps
- From the DealerVu main screen, click on My Reports > Accounting Reports > General Customer Reports;
- Double-click on the Customer Value report;
- Choose Start and End dates, then click the Refresh button. The Enter Parameter Values window will appear;
- Make the selections based on what you wish to see on the report, then click on the OK button to generate the report
