This document will show you how to use user's email account as outgoing email address.
System settings – Use User's Email Account
The purpose of this feature is to provide Dealers with the option of using the default outgoing email or the logged-in employee’s email when sending an email to a customer.
The Dealer must already be set up to email directly out of DealerVu. Our document “Email Invoices/Statements from DealerVu” will assist you if you are not already set up for emailing. You also need to have proper permissions set up in miscellaneous settings.
This functionality is available for all sent emails via DealerVu. This checkbox will indicate to DealerVu to use the logged-in user's email address. If no email is set up for the user, the system will use the default outgoing email you have set up in company store information.
A default valid outgoing email should be entered in this field. Please note that email@example.com often ends up in the recipient's junk mail. You may use any email of your choice as long as it is valid:
