Store to Store / Transfer of Trade-In Units
Transfer the NITC (Australian Dealers only)
This feature allows Australian Dealers the functionality of transferring the relevant NITC to the receiving store when they are Store to Store transferring a Trade-In unit.
When Dealers trade-in units within Unit Deals, the input tax credit for that trade-in unit cannot be claimed until the unit is actually sold.
The relevant GST is held in a NITC clearing account until the unit is sold.
Prior to 1.26 when Dealers transferred trade-in units between stores, the NITC stayed with the originating store. It then had to be manually journaled to clean the NITC clearing account.
As of version 1.26, when Dealerships transfer trade-in units between stores, the NITC will also be transferred. When a store to store transfer is processed, the user will be required to enter in the NITC Amount to transfer.
Scenario:
Store 1 traded in a unit for a total of $7,000 = $6,363.63 Cost + $636.37 GST.
The $636.37 GST component would now be held in Store 1 NITC clearing account until the trade-in unit is sold.
Store 2 wants to transfer the trade into their store.
To process the transfer, the user will need to indicate on the Store to Store Transfer how much GST will be required to be transferred between
Store 1 and Store 2 NITC Clearing accounts.
