Dealers have the ability to send SMS text messages from a Part Sale, Service Sale and Unit Sale Invoice.
Sending SMS Text Messages
In System Settings > Miscellaneous Settings, you will select the pattern you would like to use to send the message.
<StoreName> is the name of the Dealer store; <PersonName> is the FirstName LastName of the login user; <Body> is the message body user will type. These will appear in the body of the text message.
To add a permanent message that will be displayed in the text message:
System settings > Miscellaneous > SMS Text Message Pattern. Here you can add a message that will show up on all texts sent:
To Send a Text Message:
From the Part Sales Invoice, Service Order Invoice or Unit Deal screen, click on Tools > Send Text Message:
Type in the relevant cell number. By default, if there is a cell number in Customer Detail screen, it will appear.
Australian Dealers please note: When typing in your customer's cell number, you may need to include the international connection code (011) and country code (61). For example, if your customer's cell number is 0411 111111, then you would type in: 011 61 411111111. Use this same format when entering in a customer's number in the Customer Details screen as well.
Type in your message
Suggestion: As the receiver of the text will not be able to reply, we would suggest that a note is added in the message that they will be unable to reply to the text, they will need to contact the dealership.
Then, click on Send.
The “Send SMS Message” window will pop up confirming that the text was sent:
