How to set up email to email from DealerVu
Email Invoices/Statements From DealerVu
Added SMTP settings to the Third Party Accounts tab of the Company Store System Settings.
Added an “Email” option to the “File” menu in the Part Invoice, Service Invoice and Customer Statement screens.
Added Security Permissions to restrict emailing of invoices.
When the user selects the Email function, if the Customer has a valid Email address the document will be emailed to the customer. The “From” address will be based on the Store email address with the Username
changed to “DoNotReply”. Example, if the store name is “firstname.lastname@example.org” then the “From” address for the email will be “DoNotReply@storename.com”.
How To: In System Settings> Company> Store open the Company Store Detail screen. Ensure that the “Email” address is valid.
In the “Third Party Accounts” tab look for the settings listed under “SMTP”.
Here you will enter:
- Name of the “Outgoing” mail server
- The “Username” for the mail account
- The “Password” for the mail account
Finally you will need to make sure that you have a valid mail account called “DoNotReply@” setup on your mail server.
From the “File” menu of the Part Invoice or Service Invoice application simply select the “Email Invoice”option.
