Flat Rate Labour
The purpose of this enhancement is to allow Dealerships to pay their Service Technicians based on Flat Rate.
You will need to determine which labour codes will be paid on a Flat Rate and which will be paid Hourly.
A checkbox has been added to indicate if the labour is flat rate. If checked, this labour code will calculate flat rate only. If not checked it will calculate as usual.
A cost rate needs to be added to the Labour code, if the labour code is set for flat rate, or else it will use the cost rate set up in miscellaneous settings.
When adding a Flat Rate labour code to a Service Order, the customer will be charged the flat rate hours x the labour sales rate.
The COGS will also be determined by the Flat Rate Labour hours x the Cost Rate on the labour code or the Labour cost in system settings.
The technicians will be paid based on the flat rate hours and not actual hours.
See My Reports > Service Technician Reports > Service Technician Flat Rate Labor Time
This report also shows actual hours worked, and the variance between flat rate hours and actual hours worked.
