The purpose of this enhancement is to allow users to send a text reminder for their upcoming appointment.
In the service scheduler screen >Tools > Send Text Message.
A screen will pop up showing you a list of appointments for which the customer will be notified via text. (DealerVu will not text internal work orders.)
- This pane will show you all the appointments for the selected date. In our example, it is March 23, 2020.
- The first column is a visual indicator letting you know if the customer has a valid mobile number in the cell phone field on the customer record.
- This button will prompt the default message that will be sent to the customers. The format is fixed and will look like this: (Note: The [Customer Name],[Date],[Time} and [Subject] fields will be pulled from the customer record and appointment.
Once you click the send button, all customers on the list will be sent a notification email.
